VÍDEO: Avião faz pouso de emergência após atingir zebra durante decolagem na Tanzânia

On Sunday, October 4, 2026, A 1990-built Embraer EMB-120ER (registration 5H-HLL) operated by Sindbad Air was taking off from Seronera Airstrip in Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park, bound for Zanzibar, with 26 passengers and four crew members on board (30 people total). During takeoff, the aircraft struck and killed a zebra. The crew diverted to Kilimanjaro International Airport, roughly 270 km (170 mi) east. They were unable to lower the main landing gear, so the aircraft performed a gear-up landing on runway 09. Video showed the aircraft sliding on its underside, with smoke visible. All 30 people aboard evacuated safely, and no injuries were reported. The aircraft sustained substantial damage. Kilimanjaro Airport was closed for about five hours while the aircraft was cleared.
