O primeiro-ministro israelense, Benjamin Netanyahu, visitou nesta terça-feira (30) o território ocupado no sul do Líbano, acompanhado pelo ministro da Defesa, Israel Katz.

"Enquanto o Hezbollah estiver aqui e nos ameaçar, permaneceremos. Nossas instruções para as tropas são claras: se detectarem uma ameaça, ajam", declarou ele durante a visita, segundo a imprensa israelense.

Netanyahu afirmou que as forças israelenses mataram 9 mil membros do Hezbollah e continuam a desmantelar sua infraestrutura, tanto subterrânea quanto de superfície, apesar do cessar-fogo. Enquanto isso, o Irã se recusa a negociar até que os EUA e Israel cumpram os compromissos do memorando de entendimento, em particular o cessar-fogo no Líbano.
